THE RINGSIDE ORIGIN Story
Ringside: An American Dairy Goat Podcast was first released in July 2020. Much like everyone in the dairy goat world, when showing, appraisal, and other things came to a halt with the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, Jon was missing shows and goat friends. The lack of goat events must have extended into his subconscious because one night he ended up having a dream where he was sitting ringside of a show recording a podcast. When he woke up, he immediately messaged his friend Nate and said, "I had this dream. we can make this happen!" And from there, Ringside was born!
The guys started out their weekly podcast, discussing all things "dairy goats" and, along the way, bringing in friends and guests to discuss topics with. all while perfecting their craft. A couple of software changes later, a few different microphones, and lots of hours spent talking about our favorite four-legged barn animal have transformed our podcast into one of the leading sources of information and conversation for ourselves and fellow dairy goat enthusiasts.
Fast forward almost a year and a half later, and the show is reaching listeners all around the world. We welcomed our friend and fellow dairy goat breeder, Danielle, to the show to fill the role of cohost after Nate stepped back. Each week. we get to talk with industry experts, fellow breeders, judges, and more, bringing up relevant topics that can help listeners further their herds and celebrate our passion for dairy goats.
